Abstract
Project JXTA promoted distributed network computing by developing and promoting the use of JTXA technology, a programming language and platform independent Open Source protocol for peer-to-peer networking. JXTA technology was a set of open, generalized peer-to-peer protocols that enabled any connected device (cell phone, to PDA, PC to server) on a network to communicate and collaborate. *Dissolved in 2011.
