Abstract
Open Source Hardware (OSHW) is a term for tangible artifacts - machines, devices, or other physical things - for which the designs have been released to the public in such a way that anyone can make, modify, distribute, and use those things. OSHWA's goals are: to organize OSHW conferences and community events; educate the general public about OSHW and its socially beneficial uses; organize the OSHW movement around shared values and principles; facilitate STEM education through the use of OSHW conferences and related events; and collect, compile and publish data on the OSHW movement.
