Abstract
Established in 2001, the Interoperable Informatics Infrastructure Consortium (I3C) developed and promoted common public reference solutions for the life sciences industry by providing the community with open solutions that could be leveraged, extended or customized for accelerated discovery and product development. A main objective was to establish a common set of exchange protocols and ultimately, a common architecture to facilitate data exchange and knowledge sharing. *Dissolved in 2012
