Last month I attended a very interesting conference in Aachen, Germany: the First IEEE Conference on Standardization and Innovation in Information Technology, SIIT 99 . I've been to many conferences where we old standards hands sit around and swap stories, excuse me, we present papers on the latest standards and our thoughts about Standards Developing Organizations, SDOs.
